Inspired by the book and movie The Joy Luck Club, this collection tells a story of hardships faced by Chinese citizens fleeing from the Japanese invasion of WWll and immigrating to America for a better life.
This is a personal project with inspiration taken from the 2011 movie Flowers of War. The designed garment is focused on the costume of one of the brave female leads of the movie, Yu Mo.
