The Flowers of War

This project design focuses on one of the female leads of the 2011 WWll movie Flowers of War, Yu Mo. Yu Mo is the head leader of a group of brothel ladies who sought refuge in a cathedral as Japanese soldiers executed a mass occupation and massacre on Nanking. This dress is meant to capture the bravery and leadership Yu Mo held as she lead her sisters in a plan with the other lead characters to escape Nanking.
